RCT

performed

Rubber dam
isolation, for contamination free environment
•
Electronic apex locators
, for accurate root measurements
•
Operating microscope, for increased visibility
•
Computer controlled, rotary Instruments, for standardised
preparation
•
Rotary endodontic files (Hyflex, Twisted Files, Revo-S, MTwo,
K3XF, Protaper)

What to expect afterwards?

Discomfort
may
vary
from
person
to
person
and
depending
on
the
condition of the tooth
•
Over the counter pain-killers may be required in some cases
•
In most cases, antibiotics are not required
•
Certain dietary restrictions, may apply in some cases
•
Once RCT is over, it is essential that a crown (or alternative) be
placed on the tooth
•
Some cases may require a post to be placed, before a crown can
be fabricated
•
It is essential that the RCT be completed in time, partial or
incomplete RCTs are bound to fail.
